Nelova 150 mg Capsules contain the active ingredient Nilotinib, which belongs to the class of medications called tyrosine kinase inhibitors. This medicine is used to treat Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML), a type of blood cancer characterized by abnormal white blood cell production.

Nelova may be prescribed for:

Adults and children newly diagnosed with CML.

Patients who cannot tolerate previous treatments.

Patients whose CML no longer responds to prior therapy, including Imatinib.

Do not take Nelova if:

You are allergic to Nilotinib or any other ingredients in the capsule.

Tell your doctor before starting this medicine if you have or have had:

Heart problems, such as heart attack, irregular heart rhythm, or chest pain.

Stroke or poor blood flow in the legs (claudication).

Liver or pancreas disorders.

Low levels of potassium or magnesium in your blood.

Mention any past hepatitis B infection, as Nilotinib may reactivate the virus, which can be serious.
