Knilonat 150mg Capsule is an antineoplastic (anti-cancer) medication containing the active ingredient Nilotinib. It belongs to a class of drugs known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors.

This medicine is primarily used to treat Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML), a type of blood cancer characterized by abnormal production of white blood cells. It is indicated for:

Adults and pediatric patients who are newly diagnosed with CML

Patients who experience side effects from prior treatment

Patients whose disease no longer responds to previous therapies, including Imatinib

Precautions Before Taking Knilonat:

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Nilotinib or any of its ingredients.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart problems (heart attack, abnormal heart rhythms, chest pain), stroke, or peripheral artery disease.

Notify your doctor if you have liver or pancreas disorders or low levels of potassium or magnesium.

Discuss all medications you are taking, especially cholesterol-lowering drugs.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of hepatitis B, as Nilotinib may reactivate the virus.

Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice, as it can interfere with the medication.
