Soranib 200 mg Tablet is an anti-cancer medicine that contains the active ingredient sorafenib. It is used to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer), advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) in patients who are not eligible for surgery, and differentiated thyroid carcinoma (thyroid cancer) that does not respond to radioactive iodine therapy.

Common side effects of Soranib 200 mg Tablet include diarrhea, fatigue, abdominal pain, nausea, weakness, skin rashes, flu-like symptoms, loss of appetite, weight loss, and low calcium levels in the blood. If any of these side effects become severe or continue for a prolonged period, consult your doctor.

Do not take this medication if you are allergic to sorafenib or any of its ingredients. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have heart disease, chest pain, bleeding disorders, high blood pressure, or if you have recently had or are planning to have surgery.

Effective birth control is necessary during treatment. Women should use contraception during therapy and for at least 6 months after the last dose. Men should use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 3 months after completing therapy.

Soranib 200mg Tablet works by inhibiting multiple receptor tyrosine kinases (enzymes), primarily vascular endothelial growth factor receptors and platelet-derived growth factor-Ξ² receptors. This prevents the development of blood vessels in tumor cells (angiogenesis) and arrests the growth and spread of the tumor cells to other organs.
