Bdenza 40 mg Capsule contains the active ingredient Enzalutamide, an antineoplastic medication classified as an androgen receptor inhibitor. It is prescribed for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer in patients who do not respond to surgical or hormonal therapies.

This medication should not be taken if you are allergic to Enzalutamide or any other ingredients in the capsule. During treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) levels. PSA is a protein produced by the prostate gland, and elevated levels may indicate prostate cancer. Monitoring PSA helps evaluate disease progression and response to therapy. Additional tests may include liver function tests and complete blood counts (CBC) to detect potential complications early.

Enzalutamide may increase the risk of seizures, so patients with a history of seizures should use this medication with caution. You should also avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice, as these can raise the levels of the drug in your body.

This medication is not recommended during pregnancy, as it may harm the unborn baby, and it can also affect fertility. Discuss any fertility concerns with your doctor before starting treatment. Both men and women are advised to use effective contraception during therapy and for three months after the last dose of Bdenza 40 mg.

Thus, the androgen hormone does not bind to the androgen receptors and these androgen receptors do not interact with DNA. This blocks the functioning of cancer cells and reduces its multiplication.
