Introduction to Tauritmo 25mg Capsule

Tauritmo 25 mg Capsule contains the active ingredient midostaurin. It is an anti-cancer medication that belongs to the class of tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It is used in combination with other chemotherapy drugs to treat acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults with a mutation in the FLT3 gene. AML is a type of blood cancer in which certain white blood cells (myeloid cells) are produced in excessive numbers.

Tauritmo 25 mg Capsule is also prescribed for adults with aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM), systemic mastocytosis with associated hematological neoplasm (SM-AHN), or mast cell leukemia (MCL).

Do not take Tauritmo 25 mg if you are allergic to midostaurin or any other ingredients in the capsule. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have signs of infection, heart problems, lung issues, or breathing difficulties. Report immediately if you experience fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers, cough (with or without mucus), chest pain, difficulty breathing, or swelling in any part of the body.

This medicine is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age. Discuss with your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant before starting therapy. Tauritmo 25 mg may affect fertility in men and women, so talk to your physician about fertility concerns before beginning treatment.

The most common side effects of Tauritmo 25 mg Capsule include fever with low blood cell counts, nausea, vomiting, headache, muscle or joint pain, increased blood sugar, and respiratory infections.
