Celbopag 25mg Tablet is an anticoagulant medication that belongs to the class of thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonists. Its active ingredient is Eltrombopag. This medicine is used to treat low platelet counts caused by:

Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP): An autoimmune disorder where the immune system destroys platelets, which are essential for blood clotting and protecting blood vessel walls. Low platelet levels can result in excessive bleeding and bruising.

Hepatitis C (HCV) infection-related thrombocytopenia in adults.

Severe aplastic anemia in adults, a serious condition in which the bone marrow fails to produce enough new blood cells.

Precautions and Contraindications:

Allergies: Do not use Celbopag if you have a known hypersensitivity to Eltrombopag or any other components of the tablet. Allergic reactions may range from mild (rash, itching, swelling) to severe (dizziness, difficulty breathing).

Liver Health: This medicine is not recommended for patients with severe liver impairment or active liver disease, as it can cause hepatotoxicity. Your doctor will monitor liver enzymes and bilirubin levels.

Eye Monitoring: Patients may be checked for cataracts and bleeding in or around the retina. Regular eye examinations are advised if you do not have routine eye care.
