Apnat 60 mg contains Apalutamide as its active ingredient. It is an anticancer medication classified as an androgen receptor inhibitor. This medicine is used to treat certain types of prostate cancer, including cases where the cancer has spread to other parts of the body but still responds to treatments that lower testosterone levels (medical or surgical castration). It is also indicated for prostate cancer that has not spread but no longer responds to testosterone-lowering therapy.

Apnat 60 mg works by blocking the action of androgens (male hormones such as testosterone), which can promote the growth and spread of prostate cancer cells. By inhibiting these hormone effects, the medication helps slow disease progression.

Inform your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as chest pain, indigestion, signs of a heart attack, difficulty walking, or numbness in the face or body.

This medication is not recommended for use in pregnant women, as it may cause harm to an unborn baby. Although it is intended for male patients, effective contraception should be used during treatment. Men should avoid fathering a child or donating sperm while taking this medicine and for at least three months after the final dose, as it may affect fertility.
