Adbiron 250mg Tablet contains the active ingredient abiraterone acetate and is used to treat prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body in adult men. It is typically prescribed along with a steroid to reduce the risk of side effects. In cases of early-stage prostate cancer, it may be given together with testosterone-lowering therapy.

This medication is not intended for use in women or children, and effective contraception should be maintained throughout treatment. Adbiron 250mg Tablet contains lactose and sodium; therefore, inform your doctor if you have lactose intolerance or are following a salt-restricted diet.

Before starting this medication, inform your physician if you have any of the following conditions: liver problems, high blood pressure, heart disease, low potassium levels, diabetes, allergies, or other medical conditions. Also, provide a complete list of all medications, including supplements and herbal products you are taking.

Common side effects may include swelling of the feet or legs, high blood pressure, and diarrhea. Some patients may experience a reduction in red blood cells (anemia) or a decreased sex drive.

Important: This medication should not be taken with Ra-223, which is also used in the treatment of prostate cancer.
