Vivitra 375mg Injection contains the active ingredient Trastuzumab and is used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer. In HER2-positive patients, breast cancer cells produce high levels of HER2 proteins, which promote rapid tumor growth by sending signals that encourage cancer cell proliferation.

This medication is also prescribed for metastatic gastric cancer in patients whose tumors show increased HER2 protein levels. HER2-positive breast cancers are typically more aggressive, and targeted therapies like Vivitra work by specifically blocking the proteins responsible for tumor growth, development, and spread.

Important precautions:

Use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 7 months after the last dose.

Vivitra 375mg Injection is not recommended for patients under 18, or for those with severe breathing problems or who require oxygen therapy.

Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, shortness of breath, or a history of other cancer treatments.

The protein called HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) is found in abundant amounts on the surface of certain cancer cells, where it stimulates cancer growth. Vivitra 375mg Injection selectively binds to HER2 and stops the growth of cancer cells.

Vivitra 375mg Injection shall either be administered before or after surgery. It will be given as an Intravenous infusion for 90 minutes, if well tolerated it shall be administered within 30 minutes for the next doses.
