Veenat 400mg Tablet contains the active ingredient imatinib and belongs to the class of tyrosine kinase inhibitors, which are medications used to treat certain types of cancer. It works by inhibiting the growth of abnormal blood cells.

Uses:

Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML): A form of leukemia in which certain white blood cells grow uncontrollably.

Philadelphia Chromosome-Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph-positive ALL).

Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST): Tumors that develop in the walls of the digestive tract and may spread to other parts of the body.

Myelodysplastic/Myeloproliferative Diseases (MDS/MPD): Blood disorders where some blood cells grow abnormally.

Hypereosinophilic Syndrome (HES) and Chronic Eosinophilic Leukemia (CEL): Conditions in which eosinophils (a type of white blood cell) increase excessively.

Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP): A rare skin cancer in which abnormal cells grow beneath the skin.
