Tescilar 22.5mg Injection contains the active ingredient Leuprolide acetate and belongs to a class of medicines known as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists. It is used to treat:

Prostate cancer in men

Hormone-responsive breast cancer in women

Endometriosis (a condition where tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside it)

Uterine fibroids (noncancerous growths in the uterus)

Central precocious puberty in children, where hormonal changes cause early development of adult body features

Precautions and contraindications:

Do not use Tescilar 22.5mg Injection if you are allergic to Leuprolide acetate or any related GnRH agonists such as Goserelin or Triptorelin.

Symptoms may temporarily worsen at the start of treatment due to an initial rise in sex hormones; these effects usually decrease with continued use.

This medicine is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Avoid use if you have abnormal vaginal bleeding, seizure disorders, or mood disorders.

Men with urinary obstruction or who have had testicular surgery should inform their doctor.

Regular monitoring of bone density is advised.
