Tagrisso 80 mg Tablet contains the active ingredient osimertinib. It is an anti-cancer (antineoplastic) medicine that belongs to the class of protein kinase inhibitors. This medication is used to treat adults with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is particularly effective for cancers that have specific changes in the EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) gene, as identified by genetic testing.

Tagrisso 80 mg Tablet can be used as adjuvant therapy after complete surgical removal of the tumor. It is also prescribed as a first-line treatment for NSCLC that has spread to other parts of the body. Additionally, it is used for certain types of NSCLC in adults who did not respond adequately to other chemotherapy medications. This medicine is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

Do not take Tagrisso 80 mg Tablet if you are allergic to osimertinib or any of the other ingredients in the medicine. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have kidney, heart, or eye problems, or a history of lung inflammation.

Report any of the following symptoms to your doctor immediately: difficulty breathing with cough or fever, severe skin peeling, persistent fever, easy bruising or bleeding, unusual fatigue, pale skin, or signs of infection.
