Introduction to Sirotor 1mg Tablet

Sirotor 1 mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant medicine that contains the active ingredient sirolimus. It is mainly used to help prevent organ rejection in patients who have undergone a kidney transplant. After a transplant, the body’s immune system may recognize the new organ as foreign and try to attack it. Sirotor works by suppressing the immune response, allowing the body to accept the transplanted organ. It is usually prescribed along with other medications.

This medicine is also used to treat a rare lung condition known as sporadic lymphangioleiomyomatosis (S-LAM). A common symptom of this condition is shortness of breath.

Before starting Sirotor 1 mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have liver problems, difficulty tolerating certain sugars, high cholesterol levels, a family history of skin cancer, or any other medical conditions. This medication is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

While taking this medicine:

Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice.

Limit exposure to sunlight. Use a high-SPF sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors.

Do not receive live vaccines during treatment.

Use effective contraception during treatment and continue for at least 12 months after your final dose.
