Primcyv 75 mg is a targeted anticancer medication containing palbociclib. It belongs to the class of cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitors and is prescribed for hormone receptor-positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) advanced or metastatic breast cancer, where cancer cells grow uncontrollably and may spread to other parts of the body. It is usually given in combination with other anticancer therapies for improved effectiveness.

Common side effects of Primcyv 75 mg may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, hair thinning or hair loss, dry skin, rash, infections, nosebleeds, decreased appetite, low blood cell counts, swelling of the lips or mouth, taste changes, dry eyes, blurred vision, and increased tearing. Contact your doctor if any of these effects persist or interfere with your daily routine.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to palbociclib or any of the capsule’s ingredients. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have signs of infection (fever, chills, or sore throat), liver or kidney problems, or intolerance to certain sugars.

Seek immediate medical attention if you notice persistent dry cough, chest pain, or difficulty breathing, as these could indicate lung inflammation.

Always inform your physician about all medications, supplements, or herbal products you are taking before starting this therapy. Use effective contraception during treatment and for at least three weeks after the final dose. This medicine is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

Inform your doctor about all medications, including prescribed, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements and herbal products that you are taking or have taken before the treatment. Concurrent use of Primcyv 75 mg with CYP3A4 inhibitors such as fentanyl has reported increased fentanyl toxicity. certain medications may interact with the effectiveness of this drug.
