Mitinab 400mg Tablet contains the active ingredient imatinib. It is an antineoplastic (anticancer) medication that belongs to the class of tyrosine kinase inhibitors.

This medicine is used to treat:

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in adults and childrenβ€”a type of leukemia where certain white blood cells grow uncontrollably.

Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL).

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), which are tumors that develop in the walls of the digestive tract and may spread to other parts of the body.

Myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative diseases (MDS/MPD)β€”blood disorders in which some blood cells grow abnormally.

Hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) and chronic eosinophilic leukemia (CEL)β€”conditions in which certain white blood cells (eosinophils) multiply excessively.

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP)β€”a rare cancer of the tissue beneath the skin where cells grow abnormally.

How it works: Mitinab blocks the growth of abnormal blood cells, helping to control the progression of these cancers and blood disorders.

Important precautions:

Do not take Mitinab if you are allergic to imatinib or any other ingredients in the tablet.

Inform your doctor before starting treatment if you have kidney, heart, or liver problems, thyroid disorders, or if your thyroid has been removed.
