Introduction to Lupride Depot 45mg Injection

Lupride Depot 45mg Injection contains the active ingredient Leuprolide acetate and belongs to a class of medications called Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) agonists. This injection is used to treat:

Prostate cancer in men

Hormone-responsive breast cancer, endometriosis (when uterine tissue grows outside the uterus), and uterine fibroids (noncancerous uterine growths) in women

Precocious puberty (early onset of puberty in children due to hormonal imbalance)

Do not receive Lupride Depot 45mg Injection if you are allergic to Leuprolide acetate or any of the other ingredients, including Goserelin or Triptorelin.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you:

Have liver or kidney problems

Have undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding

Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant

During treatment, symptoms may temporarily worsen due to changes in sex hormone levels. If your child has a progressive brain tumor, inform your doctor immediately.

Also notify your doctor if you have underlying health conditions such as:

Diabetes

Seizures

Heart problems, including chest pain or irregular heartbeats

Depression

Risk of osteoporosis (bone thinning)

This medicine is not recommended for patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding. Women of childbearing age should use non-hormonal contraception while on treatment.

Men should inform their doctor if they have urinary obstruction or have had a surgical removal of the testicles. Report immediately if you experience spinal cord pressure, urinary problems, or blood in the urine (haematuria).
