Lenakast 25mg Capsule belongs to the class of immunomodulatory agents and contains the active ingredient Lenalidomide. It is prescribed for adults to treat multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, and follicular lymphoma.

Multiple myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow, where these cells multiply uncontrollably. While this type of cancer cannot be cured, treatment can help relieve symptoms. Myelodysplastic syndrome is a group of disorders in which blood cells develop abnormally and do not function properly. Mantle cell lymphoma is a less common cancer affecting the lymph nodes, whereas follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing cancer of B cells.

Common side effects of Lenakast 25mg Capsule may include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle cramps, fatigue, fever, cough, headache, back pain, shortness of breath, rashes, thyroid issues, and other skin problems. Contact your doctor if any of these side effects are persistent, severe, or bothersome.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have allergies to Lenakast or any of its ingredients. Also, disclose if you have a history of blood clots, heart attack, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or if you smoke.

Inform your physician if you have viral infections such as hepatitis B, varicella zoster, or HIV. Your healthcare provider will monitor your blood regularly before and during treatment, as this medication may cause a decrease in blood cell counts.

Lenakast 25mg Capsule is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age.

It works by antagonizing the growth of blood vessels in the cancer cells and delaying the development of cancer cells. It inhibits the growth and multiplication of tumor cells.

They should not donate sperm because this medication is present in the semen. It is advised not to donate blood during therapy and for at least 7 days after treatment.
