Kyzific 40 mg tablets contain Asciminib, an anticancer drug that belongs to the class of tyrosine kinase inhibitors.

Kyzific 40 mg is used to treat chronic phase chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in patients who have previously received two or more tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the BCR-ABL1 tyrosine kinase, a fusion protein caused by the Philadelphia chromosome in CML. Asciminib binds specifically to the myristoyl pocket of the ABL1 domain within BCR-ABL1, causing a structural change that keeps the protein inactive and prevents its cancer-promoting effects.

Before starting Kyzific, inform your doctor about your medical history, as the medication may cause blood problems (such as low platelet or white blood cell counts), pancreatic issues, or high blood pressure. Make sure to tell your doctor about all other medications you are taking. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience shortness of breath with cough or fever, chest pain, persistent fever, weakness, or seizures.

Store Kyzific 40mg tablet at room temperature between 20Β°C to 25Β°C. Keep out of sight and reach of children and pets. Store in the original container. Keep it away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight. Complete blood counts should be performed every two weeks for the first three months of treatment and monthly after that or as clinically indicated. Patients should be monitored for signs and symptoms of myelosuppression.

How to consume Kyzific 40mg Tablet

Take Kyzific 40mg tablet exactly as your doctor tells you. Do not change your dose or schedule or stop taking Kyzific 40mg tablet unless your healthcare provider tells you to. Take Kyzific 40mg tablet without food. You should avoid eating for at least 2 hours before and 1 hour after taking the Kyzific 40mg tablet. Swallow Kyzific 40mg tablets whole. Do not break, crush, or chew tablets.
