Introduction to Glioz 250mg Capsule

Glioz 250 mg Capsule contains the active ingredient temozolomide and belongs to the class of medications known as antitumor agents. It is prescribed for the treatment of brain cancers such as glioblastoma multiforme in adults and malignant gliomas, including glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma, in patients older than three years. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma are among the most common and aggressive types of brain cancer, with low survival rates.

Anaplastic astrocytoma is typically treated with Glioz 250 mg Capsule or radiotherapy after biopsy. Glioblastoma multiforme is treated with a combination of radiotherapy and Glioz 250 mg Capsule, which may then be continued as maintenance therapy.

Common side effects of Glioz 250 mg Capsule may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, constipation, hair loss, skin rashes, fatigue, frequent urination, vision or hearing changes, high blood sugar, muscle damage, muscle or joint pain, memory loss, coordination difficulties, infections, sleep disturbances, and weight loss. Notify your doctor if any of these symptoms are persistent or troublesome.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you are allergic to Glioz 250 mg Capsule or any of its ingredients. Also inform your doctor if you have hepatitis B infection, anemia, low red or white blood cell counts, low platelets, bleeding problems, or liver or kidney disorders. Your doctor will monitor your white blood cell and platelet counts regularly during treatment.

This medication should not be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Both women and men should use effective contraception to prevent pregnancy and avoid fathering a child during therapy.

Treatment of newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme.
Treatment of refractory anaplastic astrocytoma

Therapeutic Effects of Glioz 250mg Capsule

Glioz 250mg Capsule acts by inhibiting the production of genetic material (DNA and RNA) of the cancer cells, which results in preventing their cell growth and multiplication, thereby preventing cancer spread to other parts of the body.
