Eleftha 150mg Injection contains Trastuzumab as its active ingredient, and it is indicated for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. In patients with HER2-positive cancer, the breast cancer cells predominantly carry HER2 proteins, which promote rapid tumor growth by signaling the cancer to develop and spread. This medication is also used to treat metastatic gastric cancer with elevated levels of HER2 proteins.

HER2-positive breast cancers tend to be more aggressive. The targeted therapy provided by Eleftha 150mg works by specifically attacking the HER2 proteins that drive the growth, progression, and spread of cancer cells. During treatment and for at least 7 months after the final dose, use effective contraception.

Eleftha 150mg Injection is not suitable for patients under 18 years of age, nor for those with severe breathing difficulties or requiring oxygen therapy. It is important to inform your doctor if you have any heart conditions, experience breathlessness, or have previously undergone other cancer treatments. Additionally, ensure your healthcare provider is aware of all medications, supplements, and herbal products you are taking before starting treatment with this medication.

Therapeutic Effects of Eleftha 150mg Injection

The protein called HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) is found in abundant amounts on the surface of certain cancer cells, where it stimulates cancer growth. Eleftha 150mg Injection selectively binds to HER2 and stops the growth of cancer cells.

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with Eleftha 150mg Injection and cause undesirable side effects.

Eleftha 150mg Injection shall either be administered before or after surgery. It will be given as an Intravenous infusion for 90 minutes, if well tolerated it shall be administered within 30 minutes for the next doses.
