Dasatib 100 mg Tablet contains the active ingredient dasatinib. It is prescribed for adults and children over one year of age to treat Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). This medication is used for patients with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) CML in the chronic phase, as well as for Ph+ Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in patients who are resistant or intolerant to other treatments.

Chronic Myeloid Leukemia is a type of blood cancer in which the body produces an excessive number of white blood cells due to a genetic abnormality known as the Philadelphia chromosome. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, the most common type of blood cancer in children, occurs when immature white blood cells (lymphocytes) grow and survive longer than normal.

Common side effects of Dasatib 100 mg Tablet may include diarrhea, headache, cough, skin rash, nausea, fatigue, vomiting, muscle pain, weakness, decreased appetite, and changes in blood pressure (either high or low). If any of these symptoms persist or become bothersome, consult your doctor.

Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are allergic to dasatinib or any of its components. Also disclose any history of liver disease, heart problems, breathing issues, chest pain, persistent cough, hepatitis B infection, or bleeding disorders. This medicine may significantly lower the levels of platelets, white blood cells, or red blood cells, so regular blood tests are necessary to monitor your condition.
