Bracanat 100 mg Tablet is an anticancer medication containing olaparib and belongs to the class of drugs called PARP (poly [adenosine diphosphate-ribose] polymerase) inhibitors. It is used to treat pancreatic and prostate cancers. Cancer is a condition in which cells grow and divide uncontrollably. Bracanat may be prescribed alone or in combination with other anticancer therapies.

Seek medical attention immediately if you experience shortness of breath, chest pain, rapid heartbeat, fever, cough, or wheezing. Because this medicine can lower red blood cell, white blood cell, and platelet counts, your healthcare provider will recommend blood tests before starting treatment and monthly during therapy. Inform your doctor beforehand if you have a history of lung, liver, heart, or kidney problems.

Bracanat 100 mg Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy, as it may harm the unborn baby and increase the risk of miscarriage. Women of childbearing potential should undergo a pregnancy test before starting treatment and continue to use effective contraception during therapy and for at least six months after completing treatment. Breastfeeding is not advised while taking this medication, as it is unknown whether olaparib passes into breast milk.
