Bonspri Injection contains ofatumumab, a medication classified as a monoclonal antibody. It is prescribed for adult patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (RMS).

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have any immune system disorders, cancer, or severe infections, or if you are planning to receive vaccinations. If you have a history of hepatitis B infection, it is important to notify your doctor, as this medication may cause the virus to reactivate.

Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception while receiving Bonspri Injection and continue for up to six months after the last dose. Notify your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment or within six months after the final dose.

Common side effects of Bonspri Injection may include upper respiratory tract infections, a decrease in blood levels of immunoglobulin M (IgM), oral herpes, and reactions at the injection site such as pain, redness, swelling, or itching.

Therapeutic Effects of Bonspri Injection

In multiple sclerosis, the B cells (white blood cell type) which are a part of the immune system, along with the immune system attacks the protective layer surrounding the nerve cells. Bonspri Injection produces its effect by targeting and attaching to CD20 on the B cells (white blood cells) surface and causes cell lysis and depletion. This in turn reduces the chances of multiple sclerosis relapse, relieves its symptoms and slows down the disease progression.
